What is a PPEC?
A PPEC is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care (PPEC) center that allows Medicaid eligible children from birth through age 21 with medically-complex conditions to receive continual medical care in a non-residential setting. In simpler terminology, a PPEC is a pediatric medical daycare for children with special needs. Small Steps PPEC provides services that are covered by Medicaid and administered by our qualified pediatric medical staff.
